Heat Pump Estimate operates this website to give homeowners free heat pump cost estimates and to connect those who want a quote with a local MCS-certified installer. If you have any questions about this policy or your data, contact us at hello@heatpumpestimate.co.uk.

What data we collect

You can use the calculator without giving us any contact details — the estimate is free and anonymous. We only collect personal data when you choose to submit the quote form. At that point we collect:

• Contact details: your name, email address, phone number and postcode.
• Property details you entered into the calculator: property type, number of bedrooms, current heating, insulation level, whether you need new radiators, and the estimate produced (system size, cost range, grant amount and net cost).
• Basic technical detail: which page you submitted from and the time of submission.

Why we collect it and what we do with it

We use this information for one purpose: to provide your detailed estimate and to pass your enquiry to a local MCS-certified installer so they can give you a fixed quote and arrange a free heat-loss survey. We rely on your consent, which you give by ticking the consent box on the form.

Who we share it with

We share your enquiry with an MCS-certified installer in or near your area so they can contact you about your quote. This is the core purpose of the form, and we make it clear at the point you submit. We also use a third-party form service to receive and store submissions and email them to us and the installer. We do not sell your data to anyone, and we do not pass it to unrelated third parties for their own marketing.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry data only as long as needed to handle your quote and for a reasonable period afterwards for our records. If you'd like it removed sooner, just ask.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, and you can withdraw your consent at any time. To do any of these, email hello@heatpumpestimate.co.uk and we'll action it. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you're unhappy with how we've handled your data.
